Seven students from ITI, Gurugram, were arrested for allegedly assaulting a bus driver and conductor after a verbal dispute over tickets, according to police reports on Saturday.

The incident occurred when the bus driver and conductor disembarked at the last stop. The bus, which operated between Millennium City Metro Station and Gurugram Railway Station, had some ITI students board at the ITI Chowk stop. The conductor, Lalaram, stated in his complaint that the students refused to pay for their tickets, leading to an argument. After the students got off at the last stop, Lalaram and the driver, Rajesh Kumar, stepped off the bus to get some water.

While they were away, the group of students allegedly attacked them. Lalaram claimed that the students fled after threatening to kill him when onlookers began gathering around.

An FIR was filed at the Sector 9A Police Station, and the police arrested seven individuals—Mohit (18), Kartik (18), Sunny (21), Saurav (18), Akshay (20), Chetan Sharma (20), and Himanshu (18)—on Friday. A senior police official confirmed that the students were later released on bail.
