Prof. Daya Thussu from Hong Kong visits SAU, discuss academic collaboration with President Prof. K K Aggarwal

New Delhi, August 29: Professor Daya Thussu, Professor of International Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Commonwealth Studies, University of London, visited South Asian University (SAU) campus in academic pursuit today.


Prof. Thussu, also the President of International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), the oldest and the biggest body of media educators and researchers in the world, discussed avenues of academic collaboration with Professor K K Aggarwal, President, SAU.


Prof. Aggarwal apprised Prof. Thussu about various measures being taken by him for the expansion and academic grown of SAU. He said, SAU is committed to become a voice of the global south in the academic world, and scholars like Prof. Thussu can make significant contribute in that direction.
Prof. Thussu, a renowned researcher and author of several books, also had a meeting with Professor Ambrish Saxena to deliberate actions for raising the standards of media and communication education and research. He extended his support in setting up the Faculty of Arts and Design in South Asian University.
