Gurucharan Singh, the actor who played Roshan Singh Sodhi in the enormously famous Indian sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” has been missing for five days.
The Delhi police have now opened an abduction investigation after a complaint submitted by Gurucharan Singh’s father.
According to the actor’s father’s complaint, his son left Delhi for Mumbai on Monday but did not arrive.
The complaint said that his phone has been inaccessible since then.
“He’s psychologically stable. “We had been looking for him, but now we are filing a missing person report,” Gurucharan’s father informed the police.
On Monday night, a security camera mounted in the Palam neighbourhood recorded footage of the 50-year-old crossing the road.
“His flight was scheduled for 8.30 pm on Monday, but he was seen at a traffic intersection in Palam at around 9.14 pm,” police added.
Police said they are examining the CCTV material and are conducting an inquiry into the situation.
