Three individuals, including a woman, all aged between 20 and 25 and residents of Delhi, were shot dead in the Morni Hills area of Panchkula, Haryana, according to police on Monday. The incident occurred early Sunday when three men allegedly ambushed the victims outside a resort, possibly due to a rivalry.

The victims had left the resort after a birthday celebration when their SUV was attacked with multiple gunshots. Among the deceased was Vicky, who was accompanied by his nephew and a woman for the celebration.

Police suspect an old rivalry might be the motive behind the crime. The attackers, arriving in an Etios car, reportedly opened fire indiscriminately before fleeing the scene.

The police control room received information about the shooting around 3:30 a.m. The victims were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula, near Chandigarh, where they were declared dead on arrival.

Investigations are underway, with police reviewing CCTV footage and collecting evidence to identify the assailants.

In a separate incident in November, two explosions occurred outside two clubs in Chandigarh’s Sector 26, near Panchkula. The blasts took place outside the Seville Bar and Lounge, owned by singer and rapper Badshah, and De Orra Club. Gangsters Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, reportedly claimed responsibility for the explosions.

Two suspects, Vinay (20) and Ajit Sehrawat (21), both residents of Hisar, were arrested after being injured in an encounter with the police in Haryana’s Hisar district. Both sustained leg injuries during the shootout.
