President Donald Trump confidently told reporters he “got every answer right” on his recent cognitive assessment, administered during his annual physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday. Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump expressed optimism about his performance and said he expected the full results to be released by Sunday.

“I’ve never felt better, but these things still need to be done!” he posted earlier in the week on Truth Social. This marked Trump’s first physical exam since beginning his second term. Shortly after spending approximately five hours at the medical center, he departed for Florida.

While the former president shared his positive outlook, he remained tight-lipped on specific details regarding his health or the content of the test. The public has not received a comprehensive update on Trump’s health since 2018. During the 2024 campaign, he notably refrained from releasing promised health updates.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the president’s physician plans to release an update “in the effort of transparency,” aiming to include “as many results as possible” and to share them “as soon as we possibly can.”

Historically, such presidential health updates provide a general overview of physical condition but stop short of offering a full medical record. In 2018, then-White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson described Trump as having “excellent” cardiovascular health for his age, despite a body mass index (BMI) of 29.9, placing him just below the obesity threshold of 30.

Jackson also noted elevated cholesterol levels, with an LDL (bad cholesterol) of 143 and total cholesterol at 223—above the ideal benchmark of 200. Trump’s health record listed the use of rosuvastatin to control cholesterol, finasteride for hair loss, and daily aspirin for heart health. He also takes a multivitamin and occasionally applies ivermectin cream for rosacea, a mild skin condition.
