Prajwal Revanna stated on his X account that he was not in Bengaluru to attend the special investigation team’s probe.
In his first comment on the sex scandal that has shaken Karnataka politics, JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna stated on Wednesday that the truth will out soon.
The governing Congress party has accused Prajwal Revanna of sexually assaulting hundreds of women after scores of obscene recordings reportedly depicting him appeared in Hassan, his parliamentary seat. Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, has described the tapes as “doctored”.
Prajwal Revanna indicated on his X account that he was not in Bengaluru. However, he stated that he had contacted the probe team through his advocate.

“In reference to the aforementioned situation, I am informed by the family of my client Mr. Prajwal that the notice given by their office has been pasted on the house of my client Mr. Prajwal in accordance with section 41 (a) Cr.P.C. in their notice dated 30-04-2024. Dated: January 5, 2024 to appear before them. However, my client, Mr. Prajwal Revanna, was on a vacation outside of Bangalore when I informed him of the notice, and he stated that he needed seven days to return to Bangalore and appear before him in accordance with the notice,” the response states.

Prajwal Revanna allegedly fled India after the alleged tapes appeared in Hassan and on the internet. He’s supposedly in Germany.

The Congress-led Karnataka government has appointed a SIT to investigate the serious charges.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda of assisting his grandson to exit the country. He also accused JD(S) ally BJP of acquiring Revanna’s visa.

“MP Prajwal Revanna fled abroad following the viral footage. Deve Gowda himself sent his grandson, Prajwal Revanna, overseas. “Who gave him a visa? Only the BJP,” Siddaramaiah asked while speaking at a rally in Karnataka.
