Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP, is coming to this place on Wednesday to present his nomination papers for the next Lok Sabha elections.
Additionally, he will go on a roadshow in the constituency that he won by an overwhelming margin of more than four lakh votes in the 2019 Parliamentary elections.

According to the party, Rahul Gandhi will fly into Muppainad, a village nearby, by helicopter and then drive to Kalpetta.

His sister Priyanka Gandhi, AICC general secretaries K C Venugopal and Deepa Das, AICC in-charge of the National Students’ Union of India Kanhaiya Kumar, Leader of Opposition in the state assembly V D Satheesan, and KPCC acting president M M Hassan will accompany him on the roadshow, which he is scheduled to begin at 11 am from Kalpetta, according to the Congress.

It stated that the roadshow is expected to draw thousands of party workers and supporters.

Around noon, the roadshow will come to an end close to the Civil Station, at which point Rahul will present his nomination documents to the District Collector, according to the party. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, won the Lok Sabha elections of 2019. He received 7,06,367 votes, while his closest opponent, P P Suneer of the CPI, received only 2,74,597 votes. Kerala will hold its Lok Sabha elections this year on April 26.
