Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, expressing alarm about the purported “surveillance” of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail. In a letter, Singh said that Kejriwal is constantly monitored by the LG officer via CCTV cameras. He further claimed that “gathered information” was sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Singh expressed dismay at the reported conditions of the jailed Delhi Chief Minister, claiming that the Tihar jail had become a “torture chamber” for Arvind Kejriwal.
“Tihar Jail has been converted into a torture chamber for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.” According to trustworthy sources, Kejriwal ji is monitored 24 hours a day by the LG office using CCTV cameras, and all of this information is given to the Prime Minister’s Office,” Singh stated in a letter to PM Modi.
“After all, why are you doing this? Why is the three-time elected Chief Minister treated inhumanely? After all, what is Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal’s crime?” He continued.
This follows a violent incident within the Tihar jail earlier this week, which injured four convicts. Earlier today, Singh said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is now detained in Tihar jail, “is in danger” because of this incident.
