One of the most well-known figures in South Indian cinema, Thalapathy Vijay, startled the nation when he announced his intention to enter politics. According to some recent reports, Vijay’s successor is expected to be another well-known name in the industry.
It’s none other than Suriya, the Singam of Kollywood. We might soon witness the actor entering the political sphere if the latest reports are accurate. Since establishing the Agaram Foundation in 2006, Suriya has demonstrated admirable philanthropy. Its goals are the welfare of those in need and the provision of high-quality education.
According to additional reports, the actor’s current goal is to spread his charitable work throughout the state of Tamil Nadu. Further reports state that the actor is trying to appoint administrators in 60 districts on a ward-by-ward basis. Districts such as Villupuram, Cuddalore, Puducherry, Mayiladuthurai, Karaikal, and Nagapattinam hosted the consultation meetings.
The All India Surya Nallapani Iyakkam, the actor’s fan club, met in private in Tiruvarur. They stated that Suriya’s intentions to enter politics would only become clear with time.
Currently, the actor is busy with the shoot of his upcoming titled Kanguva, being dubbed as a fantasy action release. It is being made under the direction of Siva and is scheduled to release this year. The cast includes names like Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, both making their Tamil debuts, along with Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley. K E Gnanavel Raja, V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati and Jayantilal Gada are producing the film under the banners of Studio Green, UV Creations, KVN Productions and Pen Studios. Devi Shri Prasad handles the music in the film while Vetri Palanisamy is the cinematographer and Nishadh Yusuf is doing the editing.
According to more information, Suriya is set to appear in a cameo role in Akshay Kumar starrer Sarfira. It is the official Hindi remake of Suriya’s own Soorarai Pottru, which was released in 2020.
