Last night, a mob in Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s district beat up a man and forcibly paraded him down the street while yelling religious chants over his reportedly drunken urinating in a public location.

Images from the scene in the Siddipet district’s Gajwel town showed a crowd jeering the man while yelling “Jai Shri Ram,” “Bharat Mata ki Jai,” and “Chatrapati Shivaji ki jai.”

He is being held by a bunch of men as a pail of water is retrieved. The victim is then made to clean the place where he allegedly urinated while intoxicated and pour water at the location adjacent to a road divider.

The crowd starts shouting loud slogans as they parade him down the street wearing clothes that are ripped in some parts. In one of the videos, a police officer can be seen attempting to remove the man from the crowd, but a group of men drag him against the road divider and push him to the ground.

The man was reportedly also asked to lick the area where he urinated.
