According to data released on Friday by the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 490 new coronavirus infections, while the number of active cases dropped from 6,168 to 5,707 overall.
Two deaths brought the total number of deaths to 5,31,856, according to data updated at 8 am.

4.49 crore (4,49,88,916) has been allocated to the Covid case.
According to the ministry, the percentage of infections that are still active is now 0.01 percent, and the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.80 percent.

A record 4,44,51,353 people had recovered from the illness, and the fatality rate was 1.18 percent.

The website of the ministry reports that the country has already received 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the ongoing national vaccination campaign.
