On Thursday, a 12-year-old boy who had been missing for two days was discovered wedged between two bridge piers in Rohtas, Bihar. The bridge spans the Son River.

The boy lives in the village of Khiriyanw. Soon after the information was received, senior officials and local police arrived at the scene. A crew from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was brought in to help with the rescue.

According to the youngster’s father, Bhola Shah, the boy has been gone from home for two days and is mentally ill.

“We searched the adjacent communities for him but were unable to locate him. We received a call three to four hours ago and learned that he was trapped here, the father informed ANI.

The youngster was reportedly caught on the bridge in a life-threatening situation, according to NDRF Assistant Commandant Jaiprakash.

The child is currently secure, and we are feeding him from this location. He will shortly be brought here safely by the rescue crew, according to Jaiprakash. We are awaiting more information.
