The Global Research Conferences (GRC) is proud to announce Dr. Shivam Arun Kumar Patnaik, as the Guest of Honour for this year’s event. Life Sketch of Dr. Shivam Arun Kumar Patnaik He was born in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh in the year 1974. His Father, Late. Shri S.J. Rao Patnaik, was posted in railways and was working at South Eastern Railway Bilaspur in 1974. He lost his Father at an early age, when Dr. Arun Patnaik was only 3 months old. On compassionate grounds, his Mother was given a Job in railways as a Peon in the Railways School, due to lack of education qualifications. Dr. Arun also did his schooling in the same school, watching his Mother toiling on daily basis, though he was not able to help out in the initial early years. This created a passion in Dr. Arun to return to the same school and be honored as the Chief Guest in later years and in-turn reward his Mother’s Hardwork and toil throughout. The early years of hardship in life in making both ends meet on day to day basis and also taking the part of supporting in earning the daily bread, by doing menial jobs like attending STD/PCO booths created a strong character and values within and a bondage with his Mother and sibling. Being an ardent devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, his Lord called him to study In the high school. He spent two years in the Puttaparthy valley, where he learned Service to Mankind is akin to Service to God. Continuing his graduation back in his native place, he supported his mother throughout her career. Then with his passion for increasing or adding knowledge he got the opportunity to go abroad (New Zealand) for pursuing Post graduate studies. He again never shied away from getting any Job to support his passion for studying and make ends meet even in New Zealand, including plucking Apples from the farms for daily wages. This consistent facing of Challenges, Hardship gave him courage and Confidence to face the World with Bold strides. His tenure in Puttaparthy under the tutelage of Bhagawan Baba also gave him a purpose of Continuous Social Service to the Community in Large even while pursuing his professional career. In the year 2000, He was able to honor his Mother by returning to her School and be the Chief Guest, where he spend his Initial Years watching his Mother sweat and toil. He has always been pro-weaker sections and involved with many social causes in and around the region of his native place. He married in the year 2005 and is blessed with a beautiful daughter (studying in Class 4th), who is also being brought up in the same values and traditions he treaded during the walk of his life. His spouse is a home maker, while His Sole Hero, Source of Inspiration and Respectful Mother, Smt. Laxmi, resides with him after asking her to take up voluntary retirement. She is his guide in his every walk of life.
