Solapur, Maharashtra – A one-day guidance workshop on CSR funding and fundraising was successfully organized by Saai Indian Trust Association (SITA Trust) at the Social Welfare Center in Solapur. The workshop was presided over by animal welfare activist Vilas Shah, while the chief guests included former District Council Extension Officer Ashok Bhanje and Principal Dr. S.K. Gaikwad. On this occasion, Ganesh Navade also participated as a special guest.

This workshop was organized by CA Shankar Adani, the Founder and President of Sita Trust. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a felicitation ceremony for distinguished guests.

The chief guest, Ashok Bhanje, stated in his address, “So far, the Solapur district has not been able to receive the proper benefits of CSR funds. Many public organizations commit fraud in the name of CSR funds. Even when organizations receive CSR funds, they are required to pay an advance amount of 5 to 10 percent of the approved funds, preventing ordinary organizations from availing the benefits of these schemes.”

On this occasion, Ganesh Navade remarked, “If an organization’s documents are accurate and well-organized, it is possible to benefit from government schemes. There is a significant shortage of various CSR schemes in Solapur district. The benefits of government schemes remain limited to a select few, whereas they should be accessible to all organizations.”

During the workshop, CA Shankar Adani elaborated on how to obtain CSR funds, how to take advantage of government schemes, how to prepare project reports, and the requirements for audit reports. He also provided information on various central and state government schemes, explaining how these benefits could be extended to all organizations.

In this workshop, CA Hemant Khandgule, Advocate Atul Barfe, Auditor Ratna Parkhe, and Sachchidev Jugnu, along with representatives from several renowned educational and social institutions of Solapur district, were present in large numbers.

A Q&A session was held at the conclusion of the program, where the participating organizations actively engaged and found solutions to their queries. The attending organizations appreciated the workshop and expressed their hope that such workshops would be organized repeatedly in Solapur in the future. CA Shankar Adani also assured that similar workshops would be held again in Solapur district.

The valuable contributions of all the employees of SITA Trust were acknowledged for the success of the program. All the distinguished guests and participants were thanked for their role in the successful organization of the event.
