New Delhi, July 4, 2025 — F1: The Movie starring Brad Pitt continues to impress Indian audiences. The film earned ₹5.25 crore on its first day. By the end of its first week, collections crossed ₹35 crore. Viewers praised the high-speed action and gripping visuals. The movie released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and English.

Filmmaker Karan Johar shared his thoughts after watching the film. He called it predictable but thrilling. “You can’t help reaching the edge of your seat,” he said.

Formula 1’s future in India is also back in the spotlight. Kush Maini, Alpine’s reserve driver, believes the country is ready for an F1 return. He pointed to India’s improved infrastructure and passionate motorsport fans. “India is 100% ready to host a Grand Prix again,” Maini said during a recent interview.

However, some fans and experts remain unsure. They cite expensive ticket prices and a packed F1 calendar as obstacles. Others say stronger local engagement is key before India can rejoin the F1 circuit.

Meanwhile, the success of F1: The Movie has sparked talk of a sequel. But Lewis Hamilton, who co-produced the film, urged caution. He said the team should review what worked before planning the next chapter. Director Joseph Kosinski echoed this view. He revealed that the team considered alternate endings but focused on making the film authentic and exciting.

Indian motorsport fans can look forward to live Formula 1 action this weekend. The British Grand Prix at Silverstone runs from July 4 to 6. Fans can watch it live on F1 TV and FanCode.

The strong response to the film and Maini’s optimism have rekindled hopes for India’s place on the F1 calendar. Whether those hopes turn into reality depends on future support from fans, sponsors, and F1 officials.
