According to the Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will not be available for questioning today regarding the Delhi liquor policy case. According to the AAP, the Enforcement Directorate’s summons was unlawfully issued, and Mr. Kejriwal’s arrest was the sole goal.
Mr. Kejriwal, who is also the national convenor of the AAP, received three notices in a row after he turned down two previous summonses from the investigation agency for November 2 and December 21.
While Mr. Kejriwal was prepared to assist the agency, according to the Aam Aadmi Party, the summons was sent with the goal of having him arrested.
“Why was the notice sent so close to the election season? The party claimed that the notice is an attempt to prevent Kejriwal from participating in election campaigns.
The Central Bureau of Investigation had questioned the AAP chief in April regarding the case, but the agency had not officially accused him.
There has been a great deal of conjecture that the Enforcement Directorate would arrest the chief minister of Delhi following his interrogation ever since the agency sent out its first summons. Similar statements have also been made by a number of AAP leaders.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was arrested in October, and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was detained in February in relation to the case.
