Apple will launch the iPhone 17 series in September 2025, according to reports. The event will likely take place in the second week of the month. The new lineup will feature the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, which might be branded as the Ultra.
Apple aims to offer major design changes this year. The iPhone 17 Air will introduce a thinner and lighter frame. It may become the slimmest iPhone ever. The Pro models will feature a redesigned camera system with a horizontal layout. The company will also move the Apple logo to better align with MagSafe accessories.
All models will now have 120 Hz LTPO OLED displays. This change will improve scrolling and make visuals smoother. The Pro variants will use the new A19 Pro chip. Apple will combine this chip with 12 GB RAM to boost performance. The company will also add a vapor-chamber cooling system to prevent overheating during heavy use.
Battery life will see improvements, especially in the Pro Max model. Apple is expected to offer faster wired charging up to 35 W. Wireless charging through Qi2 will also become more efficient. The base models will get the A18 chip and 8 GB RAM, along with better front and rear cameras.
Prices could start around ₹79,999 for the standard iPhone 17 in India. The Air model might cost closer to ₹89,900. The Pro and Pro Max models will command premium prices, with the Pro Max possibly crossing ₹1.6 lakh. Global pricing will start at around $899 for base models.
