Vijay Kumar Sinha, the leader of the opposition in Bihar, claimed that the collapse of the Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge, which was still being built, in Bhagalpur was a result of the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s mentality of political instability, which has led to administrative chaos and corruption in the state.
Speaking to ANI, Vijay Kumar Sinha stated, “There is a history in this government of asking for commission (bribe). The political instability of Bihar’s chief minister, Nitish Kumar, has led to administrative chaos and corruption. The system is crumbling, but they are talking about unity within the opposition.
He added that the occurrence should be the subject of an immediate investigation.
“Accountability must exist in this occurrence. The commissions of those engaged in government corruption have been fixed. Where is your zealous opposition to corruption? he stated.
CM Nitish Kumar ordered an investigation into the collapse of a bridge that was still being built in Bhagalpur shortly after it collapsed and asked the authorities to find those in charge of the tragedy.
JDU MLA Lalit Narayan Mandal responded to the bridge collapse tragedy by saying that the bridge collapsed prior to the inauguration, which was scheduled to take place by November or December of this year.
“We anticipated that the bridge would be inaugurated by November or December of this year. But it’s unfortunate how it fell apart. There is some fault, thus the issue needs to be looked into, he added.
