Ahead of a massive farmers’ march to the nation’s capital, major border crossings that link Delhi with its satellite towns are congested with numerous diversions.
Long lines of vehicles were observed on the highways that link Delhi with Ghaziabad and Noida in Uttar Pradesh at the borders of Ghazipur and Chilla.

According to NDTV, a commuter who was stuck on the DND flyover could go “only a kilometer in over an hour.” For the last 20 minutes, there has been no movement in the traffic. He stated, “There’s no u-turn and the road appears to be blocked ahead.”

In order to stop the farmers who are protesting from entering Delhi, several border crossings, including Ghazipur, Singhu, and Tikri, have been fortified.

To prevent tractors and trollies from rolling over the border points, layers of barricades and concrete blocks have been placed on highways. On the roads, barbed wire and nails have also been affixed.

Last night, the farmers and a government delegation held discussions, but they were unable to reach an agreement on three of their main demands, one of which was a law that would guarantee the minimum support price (MSP).

Authorities have barred the entry of goods vehicles from entering Delhi via the Greater Noida Expressway, Delhi Traffic Police said in its latest guidelines. Goods vehicles will also not be allowed to travel between Sirsa in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh’s Surajpur via Parichowk.

The elevated road via Sector 18 from Film City is the recommended route for individuals heading to Delhi from the DND border. From Chilla, commuters can take the Sector 14A Flyover, which goes through the Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk, Jhundapura Chowk, Roundabout Chowk, and Sector 15.

For those traveling from the Kalindi Kunj Border to Delhi, they must use the Mahamaya Flyover. Commuters on the Yamuna Expressway are advised to exit at the Jewar Toll in the direction of Khurja and take the Jahangirpur route.
