The 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), a two-month cricket extravaganza, begins on March 31 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium with the reigning winners Gujarat Titans facing  Chennai Super Kings.

There are several options this season for watching the action live from the comfort of your house. Viacom 18 acquired the rights to live stream the matches in India while Star Sports renewed its deal with the BCCI for a total of INR 20,500 crore.

The BCCI sold the IPL television rights for the 2023–2027 season for Rs 48,390 crore ($6.2 billion). As a result, the IPL overtook the NFL as the second-most valuable tournament in the globe.

As a result of Jio Cinema’s announcement that the IPL 2023 will be live-streamed for free, the IPL live-streaming landscape has totally changed. Cricket fans won’t have to pay for an OTT subscription this year to watch the live stream of the IPL 2023 because all of the matches will be broadcast in 12 different languages, including English, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, and Bhojpuri, in 4K resolution (Ultra HD). A multi-cam function is reportedly available this season for free at the Jio Cinema.

How to watch IPL 2023 matches live on Television?

The IPL 2023 matches will be televised on Star Sports Network. For the next five years, Star will have the exclusive right to transmit TV content in India by paying BCCI a total of 23,575 crores. It will broadcast 74 games as part of the bundle in 2023 and 2024. In 2025 and 2026, 84 matches will be aired, and in 2027, 94 matches will be broadcast live. As a result, Star Sports Network will once again show IPL games this year.
