JP Nadda, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and Amit Shah, the union home minister, arrived in Jaipur on Wednesday night to preside over a meeting with the core group of the Rajasthan BJP to talk about the approaching assembly elections in the state.

Party sources claim that JP Nadda, the BJP President, and Home Minister Amit Shah will meet with the BJP Rajasthan Core Group during their visit to discuss election strategy and get input from state authorities. Ministers and MPs are anticipated to consider running in assembly elections during the conference.

On a special jet, BJP National President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah landed at Jaipur Airport at around 7 o’clock. The meeting of the BJP Core Committee was scheduled to begin at 8 PM, therefore both leaders travelled immediately from the airport to the state BJP headquarters.

Both leaders examined the state’s political dynamics and talked about how tickets would be distributed for the upcoming assembly elections. Also reviewed was the response from the most recent BJP Parivartan Yatra (BJP Transformation Journey).

“Let us inform you that the Central Election Committee will meet in Delhi in a few days. The gathering will include Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance. The BJP will issue the list after discussing the candidates’ names in the C and D categories, according to the sources.

It is noteworthy that the meeting occurs after the BJP fielded seven candidates for the Lok Sabha in Madhya Pradesh, including Union ministers Faggan Singh Kulaste, Prahlad Singh Patel, and Narendra Singh Tomar. Kailash Vijayvargiya, the BJP’s general secretary, was also a candidate.

Elections for the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly of 2023 are anticipated to take place in or before December of this year. In the 200-seat Rajasthan Assembly, which is controlled by the Congress party, Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister, is in charge of the state’s administration.

The state’s latest assembly elections were held in December 2018, and the Indian National Congress came out on top with 100 seats, only missing out on a majority by one seat. However, following an arrangement with the Bahujan Samaj Party, the Congress formed the state government, with Congress leader Ashok Gehlot serving as the Chief Minister.
